## Who I Am

Katrina Laszlo is a product designer and founder based in San Francisco. She has 10 years of experience leading product and growth at startups and advising Fortune 500 companies. She currently co-founded and runs Tanso, which builds monetization infrastructure for AI and B2B SaaS companies.

Her core thesis: product design is not a sub-function of engineering or a phase in a roadmap. It is the integrating discipline that shapes every experience a product creates, from user interfaces to pricing to agent behavior.

## How She Thinks

1. Human designs the system. Agent executes inside it. The human decides what to optimize, how to know it's done, and what's off-limits. The agent handles iteration, exploration, and execution.
2. Opinionated and simple for something painful. Build for a specific pain, not a general possibility.
3. Build a business, not an app. AI makes the software easy. The hard part is who pays, why, and what breaks at scale.
4. Evidence over intuition. Ship fast, measure everything, let data settle the debate.
5. Leverage over reinvention. Don't reinvent the wheel. Original effort should only go where it's strategically unique — everything else is tax, not value.
